We all feel physical pain at one time or another. It is there to tell us that something is wrong or to prevent injury. In that sense it is useful, but for anyone living with chronic pain it can be annoying at best, devastating at worst.
For many chronic pain sufferers, medication is a way of life. It can be liberating, but also very controlling or limiting. It might also conflict with other medication and not be an option.
Hypnosis and hypnotherapy have been used for centuries to control pain, from simply reducing discomfort to outright anaesthesia, allowing surgery.
It is important to realise that pain is created by the brain, no matter where we feel it. It is no surprise that your pain perception can be changed to the point where it is no longer a problem, or even felt at all. That is our goal.
